Welcome to Yeovil Metal Detecting Club
One of Somerset’s longest-established metal detecting clubs, founded in 1978 and still going strong.
We are a friendly group of enthusiasts based in Yeovil, with members drawn from across Somerset, Dorset and the surrounding counties (within a radius of 25 miles of Yeovil). Whether you are a complete beginner or an experienced detectorist, you will find a warm welcome here.
We meet on the first Monday of every month at the Quicksilver Mail, Henford, Yeovil, where members bring along their finds, share their stories, and enjoy the company of like-minded people. Many of our members are very experienced and knowledgeable, and they are always happy to share that knowledge.
CLUB DIGS
We work with local farmers and landowners to organise regular club digs across Somerset and Dorset. Members get access to new sites, the chance to find something special, and the opportunity to raise funds for causes supported by our landowners.

LOST ITEM RECOVERY
We offer a free recovery service for lost metallic items, whether it is a gold wedding ring, a platinum brooch, or an iron machine part. Get in touch and we will do our best to help.
Yeovil Metal Detecting Club regularly attends local rallies, charity events and community shows throughout the South West.
